Panel mats are primarily needed for safety and comfort during Acro class, as they offer cushioning and impact absorption, protecting individuals from injuries during falls, landings, and other high-impact movements. However, most other panel mats from any other company are usually thin, made cheaply, aesthetically unappealing, and have no instructional value. 
 
We wanted to change that. 
 
So what we decided to do was make the world's best AcroDance panel mat. And not only does every All Things Acro panel mat have UV protection and moisture-resistant vinyl, but it also has the perfect blend of thickness and size, combined with a scientific recipe of interior foam for the ultimate blend of rigidity and comfort. 
The most prominent feature you will notice with All Things Acro equipment, are the incredibly unique striping and colors, which were designed with some VERY specific intentions. These stripes are not just about aesthetics. Almost every AcroDance studio owns and uses standard sized yoga blocks in their classes, to teach dancers about “Hip width” and “Shoulder width.” A typical yoga block usually measures 9” x 6” x 4” and those measurements are incredibly important to our designs. It’s standard practice for dance educators to place a yoga block in between a dancer’s feet with the widest 9” orientation to generally represent feet being shoulder-width apart, and they will do the same with the smaller 6” orientation to generally represent feet being hip-width apart. These two dimensions are critically important to dance teachers, so All Things Acro incorporated these widely-used measurements into the stripe design of our mats, to double as teaching aids. The stripes represent hip-width and shoulder-width diameters for most young dancers, so your students can maintain correct positioning as they advance down our mats, or use our equipment. The educational design of these stripes also help dancers learn and practice the development of their cartwheel, side aerials, back walkovers, as well as many other basic and advanced acrobatic skills, while maintaining perfect tracking. Our “Hip width / Shoulder width” stripe design is a major reason why our mats and products aren’t just for safety and protection, but for educational purposes, and to aid technique as well.  
 
Another unique feature of All Things Acro panel mats is the use of black vinyl across the entire bottom of the mat. This allows the mat to be reversible for stage, recitals, or any other application where a colored top isn't desired or black is required by the event. Every ATA mat also has hook and loop (Velcro) strips on both ends, to allow unlimited connection of multiple mats, which if desired, can create an uninterrupted mat strip, running as long as the size of your studio allows.
